Sensors and connectivity have become smaller and cheaper. This means that we can apply them more easily. The growth in the number of ‘connected’ things – IOT – in cleaning facility and landscaping is enormous. In our core industries, cleaning and facility we are moving towards a new era. One that’s characterized less by smart sensors but more by the data generated by it.
Our app and data platform provides information for your mobile workforce, which is a combination of incoming manual and smart data from physical objects like machines (or even robots), clothes, materials, sensors and trolleys. Also data out of the Smart Building like occupancy and indoor location is gathered.
The ultimate goal is to work more efficiently and transparently. Service providers like contract cleaners and landscaping companies have an overview, and from there you can automate work floor processes. Central to this search is information that can be used as input for work processes. We have failed and learned a lot over the last years. All current (pilot) solutions provide more efficiency and transparency.
We are not bound by any specific technology, for indoor solutions we use WIFI, zigbee or bluetooth. Outside buildings we can use LoRa, NBiot or NFC. For every solution, we look for the best fit in sensor technology and connectivity: what works best and is affordable? We are tech agnostic.
The current solutions enable us to measure how a building or product is being used. But it doesn’t stop there. Because we measure everything digitally, we build historical data on the usage of buildings. Analyze this historical data and you can optimize this analysis to take appropriate action.
The Binster – Bin sensor – measures the filling rate of waste bins. As a result, we know how full the bins are real-time, and we can select full bins. The result is a task to empty the full bins rather than all the bins because it was planned. We’re always looking for partners who want to share data, learn from there and move into new business models.
Should you want to get hands-on with IoT, we would recommend you follow our IoT workshop. This is a half day program in which we help you discover opportunities to make a start with IoT. Getting active with IoT results in better questions and, therefore, better solutions. Discover what solutions we can offer for your company, download our information package below.
